At Bremen Public Schools, students experience a variety of both academic and extracurricular opportunities in order to challenge their abilities. Various disciplines are taught to encourage and support career exploration. Through instruction and daily modeling, students learn how and why good social skills are important. Technology is utilized by every student in every classroom. All students in Grades 4-12 are issued an electronic device for their educational use. Bremen Elementary-Middle School is a Project Lead The Way (PLTW) school. Project Lead The Way is the nation's leading provider of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) programs. The engineering and biomedical science curriculum for elementary and middle school students challenges, inspires, and offers schools variety and flexibility. Students get rigorous and relevant experiences through activity-, project-, and problem-based learning.
Bremen is also a techfit school. This educational program promotes STEM subjects and a healthy lifestyle. It uses games to spark students’ STEM interest while also improving physical fitness. In addition to this program and physical education classes, middle school students can participate in sports through extracurricular teams. Students can join the cheerleading, track and field, swimming, wrestling, or basketball team.
Bremen High School earned a letter grade of "A" from the Indiana Department of Education for their exemplary progress. The school uses the Core 40 curriculum. Indiana's Core 40 is the academic foundation students need to succeed in college, apprenticeship programs, military training, and the workforce. Students take rigorous high school courses in the core subjects of English/language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies as well as physical education/health and wellness, world languages, career/technical, and fine arts. In addition to these courses, students can opt to participate in technical education and vocational programs in agriculture, business, family consumer science, and industrial technology.
Bremen High School is the home of the Lions, and students can participate in numerous athletic programs that are available. Bremen sports teams include golf, tennis, soccer, football, basketball, cheerleading, cross country, volleyball, swimming, wrestling, baseball, softball, and track. Those who are musically talented can join the band or choir. And there are many clubs available like student council, honor society, and newspaper staff.
