Helmsburg Elementary serves students in Grades PK–4. The school has one classroom dedicated for preschool and two classrooms per grade level. Rooms are also available for special education, counseling, speech-language therapy, and reading resource instruction. In addition to these special classrooms, the school facilities also include a STEM lab, music classroom, art room, and outdoor lab.
Brown County Intermediate School has adopted a structure of teaming where each grade level is made up of two teams. Each student at BCIS is a member of a team, and each team contains approximately 80 students who are supported by four teachers: language arts, mathematics, science, social studies as well as special education. The philosophy at BCIS is to support each student with four highly qualified teachers to ensure the highest potential for each student's success.
Brown County Junior High School is located in a complex that includes the high school, the intermediate school, and the corporation administrative offices. Parents, students, and teachers work together for the betterment of the school. One of the school’s goals is to increase all students’ ability to apply problem solving across the curriculum. Another goal aims at improving students’ content literacy across the curriculum.
The goal at Brown County High School is to achieve balanced literacy. Balanced literacy incorporates all language skills that are necessary to comprehend and communicate ideas. This approach is designed to help students improve skills of reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Eagles sports teams include football, basketball, wrestling, cheerleading, baseball, softball, soccer, tennis, cross country, track, golf, tennis, and dance team.
