Homes for Sale in Columbia City, Indiana
Columbia City is lucky to have its name because in 1854 the name had to be changed in order to bring both the city and the post office together under one title. Public debate brought the choices down to “Beaver” and “Columbia City”; Beaver was suggested in honor of a noted
Native American tribe whose reservation took up most of the nearby area. Columbia City won by only three votes. As it stands today, Columbia City is a beautiful little community with over a century worth of history. It’s a quiet, family-friendly place where you’re sure to create a happy home.
