Concord Community Schools

Concord Community Schools is located near Dunlap in Elkhart County. Once a small farming community, Dunlap had become a suburb of Elkhart and Goshen by the 1980s. Parents are attracted to Concord's high graduation rate, strong academic, music, and athletic programs as well as their quality facilities and safe learning environment.

Concord's technology program helps students develop the basic computer technology skills, knowledge, and competencies that will enhance opportunities for learning in all areas of the classroom curriculum. Concord East Side Elementary School

Concord East Side Elementary School is located in Elkhart. Classes are small, allowing for individualized instruction. Students receive instruction in the basics and are well prepared to pass standardized state tests. Technology is used to enhance classroom instruction, which also helps students prepare for the advanced, global world they will enter when they leave school.

Concord Ox Bow Elementary School

At Concord Ox Bow Elementary School, class sizes are deliberately kept small to improve individual attention. The school consistently has high numbers of 3rd and 4th Graders pass the math and English/language arts portions of the ISTEP tests as well as the IREAD-3, the 3rd grade state reading test. The school has a volunteer program called SOAR in which community members visit students every week for 30 minutes to provide academic support and build relationships with students. Students visit Ox Bow County Park, which borders the school property, four or more times each year.

Concord West Side and South Side Elementary Schools

Concord West Side and South Side Elementary Schools both believe the educational process must be a shared responsibility between home and school and that together success can be achieved for all students. Students receive grades in core subjects like math, reading, and writing as well as a grade called RISE, which reflects each child's Responsibility, Initiative, Showing Improvement, and Effort in each of the following classes: art, math, music, personal development, physical education, reading, and writing.

Concord Intermediate School

Concord Intermediate School covers Grades 5–6. About 10% of the school population consists of transfer students choosing to attend here from area school districts. Students at this age level are beginning the transitional stage to the next level of education, and therefore, instruction at the school is tailored to meet these students’ needs. The staff works with students and families so that every aspect of a child’s education is pursuing excellence.

Concord Junior High School

Concord Junior High School is attended by a diverse and enthusiastic student population. The staff works hard to make sure that students have a great time and learn the skills necessary for high school and beyond. A wide variety of learning opportunities is provided for students to develop their special skills and talents. Students take courses in science, math, language arts, social studies, wellness, and electives. Homework help is available at the Elkhart Public Library Branches.

Concord High School

The school was host to President Barack Obama's first order of business meeting outside of Washington D.C. as well as the site of one of his campaign rallies before the 2008 election.

Concord High School was the first high school recognized by Conn-Selmer as an All-American School, an award to "recognize the most outstanding high school instrumental music programs in America. Concord's music department includes several choirs, a string orchestra, a dance team, two jazz bands, three concert bands, one of the largest pep bands in the area, and a champion marching band. The marching band has appeared in the Rose Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, and Orange Bowl parades and has participated in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade several times.

Concord High School offers various sports including football, cross country, golf, tennis, soccer, basketball, wrestling, swimming, track and field, baseball, lacrosse, volleyball, cheerleading, and softball.
