The park was established in 1913 and was named after the late Harve Ellis, who was the superintendent for 40 years. Ellis Park contains a swimming pool, clay tennis courts, basketball courts, a full football field, a cinder track, 4 softball diamonds, 1 pee-wee baseball diamond, 2 shelter houses and ample parking.
