Students take music, physical education, and art classes approximately twice a week. There are additional classrooms for students who benefit from special education and accelerated learning programs.
Students in the 5th Grade can join the basketball team. The elementary school also has a diverse number of organizations and programs to suit students’ interests. The school’s full calendar of events also includes many sports activities. Some sports teams like track, wrestling, and swimming include students from the entire school; however, other sports teams like football, basketball, and volleyball are divided by grade level.
This is the only high school in the district. Lawrenceburg High School’s educational philosophy is to help each student acquire the vocational, academic, physical, social, and ethical aspects of life. Students must carry at least six credit hours each semester. The high school has a list of academic and group activities for students to join in order to round out their education.
The Lawrenceburg sports teams are known as the Tigers, ranging from freshman to junior varsity to varsity. Students here can choose from football, golf, soccer, volleyball, tennis, basketball, wrestling, swimming, baseball, softball, and/or track and field.
