New Palestine High School is one of the most sought-after rural high schools in the area. A strong part of the school’s heritage is its athletics department; New Palestine High School is a participant in the Hoosier Heritage Conference and offers girls and boys sports teams that includes cross country, soccer, tennis, cheerleading, football, volleyball, basketball, gymnastics, swimming, wrestling, baseball, golf, track and field, and softball. As a result of the school’s strong focus on athletics, New Palestine High School has been the recipient of four state championships from the Indiana High School Athletic Association. The softball team won the most recent state championship in 2009. In total, New Palestine has won 104 sectional championships and 52 Hoosier Heritage Conference championships across its 20 sports.
