Located in northern Indiana, Star City is a small town in Pulaski County. Technically, Star City is known as a “census-designated place” or CDP by the government. TIppecanoe River State Park is a great place to take the whole family fishing, camping, and canoeing in the summer, and they have cross country ski trails in the winter.
Rochester is only 25 miles from Star City and offers a few great golf courses to enjoy as well as stunning parks and Lake Manitou where you can enjoy the view.
Approximately 25 miles southwest of Star City is the incredible Indiana Beach. The town’s proximity to this vacation hotspot makes it a favorite among residents for day trips and quick weekend getaways. Located on Lake Shafer and Tippecanoe River, there are boat rentals, golf courses, beautiful campgrounds and hotels, and of course, the amusement park resort which is fun for everyone.

Students in Grades K–5 attend the Eastern Pulaski Elementary School. Winamac Community Middle School welcomes students from Grades 6–8, and Winamac Community High School is for Grades 9–12.
There are also several post-secondary institutions located within 40–55 miles of Star City: Indiana University Kokomo, Indiana University South Bend, Purdue University, Purdue University North Central, Valparaiso University, University of Notre Dame, and Indiana Wesleyan University.
