Shopping options include a post office and body shop. Boonville and a number of towns are located nearby for errands and grocery shopping.

There are a number of pubs and nightlife options including a brewery and a wine bar. Karaoke nights are periodically held.

The high schools are Boonville High School in Boonville, John H. Castle Sr. High School in Newburgh, and Tecumseh Sr. High School in Lynnville. The middle schools are Boonville Middle School in Boonville, Castle North Middle School in Newburgh, and Tecumseh Junior High School in Lynnville.
