The Metropolitan School District of Washington Township is on the north side of Indianapolis and consists of one preschool, seven elementary schools, three middle schools, and one high school. Hilltop Developmental Preschool

This is a preschool specifically designed for students ages 3-5 with developmental needs. Hilltop has a number of highly qualified educational team members including preschool teachers, speech language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, school psychologists, and autism consultants.

Allisonville Elementary School

At this K-5 elementary school, these young students work toward the rigorous International Baccalaureate curriculum. Crooked Creek Elementary School

Crooked Creek Elementary follows the International Baccalaureate Primary Program, providing their students with a demanding, well-rounded curriculum. In addition to their core subjects, these K-5 students attend their specials one day per week including Chinese class. Students here have the opportunity to join in a multitude of sports, such as football, swimming and diving, track and field, tennis, and basketball. Choir, Tutoring, and Artistically Talented are a few clubs that are offered to Crooked Creek students as well.

Fox Hill Elementary School

This K-5 elementary school focuses on early literacy and math readiness skills as well as creating well-rounded, lifelong learners. Students attend their “specials” once per week: art, music, physical education, media center, and Spanish. Fox Hill students are invited to join in a number of athletic teams including basketball, track and field, football, swimming and diving, and tennis.

Greenbriar Elementary School

Earning an A rating by the Indiana Department of Education, Greenbriar Elementary’s dedicated faculty and staff have something to show for their hard work. In addition to core classes, students also take classes in music, physical education, computer, media center, art, and Spanish. Greenbriar students have the opportunity to join Student Council or the After School Enrichment, a 3-month program each semester providing activities that include Spanish, Chinese, pottery, karate, twirling, cartooning, or a number of other activities.

John Strange Elementary School

At John Strange Elementary School, students really get into their lessons. From putting on musicals based on popular books to learning about animals, teachers and staff design lesson activities that get students involved hands-on. There are a myriad of activities and clubs available to students here: Chess Club, Math Bowl Team, Photography Club, Running Club and many more activities that are planned throughout the year like Fine Arts Night and Spring Carnival.

Nora Elementary School

Nora Elementary School follows the International Baccalaureate program and knows how to get students involved in their education and in the community. This K-5 elementary school boasts an inquiry-based project where students in the Garden Club grow vegetables and donate them to the Light Cafe ran by the Culinary Arts program at the J. Everett Light Career Center. Choir, Student Council, Running Club, Martial Arts Club and others are also available to Nora Elementary students as well.

Spring Mill Elementary School

This K-5 elementary school sees the advantage of integrating technology into every classroom. Each classroom has a Promethean board and computers for student use, and the school boasts a state-of-the-art computer lab for class use. Spring Mill has an active PTO who makes many school activities for students and teachers possible. Students from this school represent Spring Mill in the Spell Bowl and Math Bowl every year. Other clubs like Chess Club and athletics are available throughout the year.

Eastwood Middle School

Eastwood Middle School serves Grades 6-8 and is one of three middle schools in the area. The school is currently in the midst of an improvement plan which includes their goal to develop their students into lifelong learners as well as additional academic assessment plans. The school highly encourages the involvement of parents and offers numerous activities for students such as a Foreign Language Club, Jazz Band, and Soccer team.

Northview Middle School

Northview Middle School serves students in Grades 6-8. The school offers numerous programs for students including a vast ENL (English as a New Language) program developed for students to work on English-speaking skills while continuing to develop academically. In addition the school has a vast athletic program that includes football, volleyball, cross country and many others.

Westlane Middle School

Westlane Middle School offers classes for students from Grades 6-8. The school offers a “safe and nurturing school environment where students learn and mature through academically rigorous core curriculum.” The motto of the school is “A Vision of the Future,” and the school supports this through ensuring that their students work hard under the tutelage of dedicated teachers. Westlane Middle School offers numerous academic extracurricular activities such as a Science Club and International Club. This school also has numerous arts and sports programs.

North Central High School

North Central High School serves students from Grades 9-12 with a student to teacher ratio of 18:1. The school’s vision is to “inspire all students to achieve excellence” and boasts numerous academic departments including Business, Performing Arts, and Sciences. In addition the school offers Advanced Placement courses and Advance College Project, which offers students the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school. North Central is also known for its successful athletics teams including cross country, soccer, tennis, cheerleading, football, golf, volleyball, basketball, swimming, wrestling, baseball, lacrosse, rugby, track, and softball.
