Waveland is a small, sleepy town with well under a thousand residents located in Montgomery County. The town was platted in 1835, and later a trading post and a post office were both established here . Within 15 years Waveland had three general stores, two hotels, three churches, a blacksmith, and a couple wagon shops. While the growth has slowed down since its early days, it’s still a great small town that loves its history.

The town of Waveland is dissected by Little Raccoon Creek, and on the northern border is State Road 47, and State Road 59 runs north to State Road 47 within town. These routes make it easy to access other nearby towns and make commuting to work in larger towns and cities relatively easy as well.
