The Western Boone Community School Corporation is located northwest of Indianapolis in the town of Thorntown, Indiana. Granville Wells Elementary School

Thorntown Elementary also offers volleyball and basketball for students who want to get an early start on athletics.
Western Boone Jr./Sr. High School
Students coming out of Western Boone’s two elementary schools will continue their education at Western Boone Junior and Senior High School. Because of the district’s small size, the junior high and high school share the same property. This has worked to their advantage, which you can see by the school’s awards and the large number of extracurricular options offered to students in Grades 7-12. Students can participate in many sports including cross country, soccer, tennis, football, golf, volleyball, baseball, track and field, tennis, softball, basketball, swimming, wrestling, and cheerleading.
Western Boone received an A rating by the Indiana Department of Education. This high school has also been nationally-ranked by the U.S. News and World Report as one of the few silver-level schools in the nation.
