Best Places to Eat on NYE in Indy

Are you looking for a place to grab a bite to eat before ringing in the New Year? Downtown Indianapolis has a lot of restaurants to offer, but here are just a few that stuck out to me. These are the perfect places to dine before starting our diets and our New Year’s resolutions the very next day.

The Old Spaghetti Factory

This restaurant is an experience in itself. The moment you step through the door you’ll feel as though you’re entering another world. From beautiful stained glass displays to a dining hall that doubles as a trolley car, you’ll find a taste of Italy here. Although the Old Spaghetti Factory may not be open late, this is the perfect place to dine before heading out to celebrate the holiday.

Hard Rock Cafe

This rock n’ roll themed cafe does casual dining well. As you walk throughout the building you’ll find memorabilia from Madonna to Michael Jackson and even Bob Dylan hanging from the walls. You may even find something from The Beatles as well. They even have an all inclusive package in the works for New Year’s Eve. If you’re ready to let the good times roll, then make your reservations today.

Union 50 Restaurant & Bar

This restaurant combines dinner, cocktails and live music and all without having to shout over the noise. Located in a refurbished bricklayers union hall, Union 50 also houses a variety of arcade games. On New Year’s Eve they’ll even be open until 1am. A special band will play, as well as a toast at midnight for those who are still there with them. Make your reservations today.

The Capital Grille

Known for its extensive wine list, the Capital Grille is a fine dining experience you won’t want to miss. From the moment you walk in the door it becomes clear that they are there to give you the best experience possible. Large party seating is available and you can be seated for dinner up until 11pm on New Year’s Eve. Reservations are recommended.

Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse

This restaurant was founded in the countryside of Porto Alegre in 1979. Since then they have opened 29 new restaurants in the United States, including our very own Indianapolis. Here you can get taste of creations that are rooted in Brazilian tradition. Nestled right in the heart of downtown Indianapolis, this could be the perfect place to go for all you can eat meat that’s carved tableside, as well as an extensive salad bar. Make those reservations today.

Harry & Izzy’s

This upscale twist on the classic American grill is located right in downtown Indianapolis. With a comfortable setting, you can enjoy the famous Shrimp Cocktail. Harry & Izzy’s was built on the foundation of a lifelong friendship and it’s also the sister restaurant to the famous St. Elmo’s Steakhouse, and even shares a few things from their menu. You can even visit their website for a virtual tour of the building and see where you could be seated this New Year’s Eve. Reservations recommended.

Howl at the Moon

Although this one isn’t quite a restaurant, it does turn into one for one night only. Various New Year’s Eve party packages are available for the picking that include a catered dinner buffet, a champagne toast at midnight and party favors. Howl at the Moon offers you and all your friends a fun way to say goodbye to 2018 and hello to 2019. Book today for the best deals.

These are just a few of the places where you can get your grub on and rock on into the New Year. Where are some of your favorite places to eat on New Year’s Eve? Tell us in the comments. Wishing you and yours a very happy and safe New Year.
