Brownsburg Community School Corporation is a public school district educating kindergarten to Grade 12 students in the town of Brownsburg in Hendricks County, Indiana.
The school district has a total of six elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school, as well as a preschool, an alternative middle school, and an alternative high school. The schools of Brownsburg Community School Corporation have recently reached a rating of level ‘A,’ which is the highest achievable rating in Indiana. Brown Elementary School
Brown Elementary school (grades K-5) prides itself on incorporating technology into every classroom. The school went through renovations to add a large cafeteria, larger gym, and wider hallways, and children here have access to two of four playground areas, which includes a large, grassy area for games.
Cardinal Elementary School
At Cardinal Elementary, teachers are dedicated to the educational success of their students. Teachers use a variety of programs to stress the importance of improving reading and mathematics readiness. Together with a culture of parent involvement, students succeed both in and out of school.
Delaware Trail Elementary School
Students at Delaware Trail Elementary receive not only a rigorous curriculum, but teachers also strive to connect the lessons in the classroom with real-world application. Teachers also stress the importance of their behavior and role within their classroom, community, and world.
Eagle Elementary School
Eagle Elementary School has 5-6 classes for each grade level, which includes five full-day kindergarten classes. This school also has specific classrooms for resource classrooms (for students who have Individualized Education Plans) as well as high-ability students (for grades 2-5).
Reagan Elementary School
Reagan Elementary has a proven track record of ranking high in student performance and student growth. Teachers here are dedicated to their student’s success, and it shows.
White Lick Elementary School
In the school year of 2013, White Lick Elementary School earned an A grade rating from the Indiana Department of Education. With a welcoming and challenging curriculum from Kindergarten through Grade 5, students at White Lick Elementary School are sure to feel comfortable and excited with the learning opportunities provided. White Lick Elementary has an advanced math curriculum, and the faculty at this school places an emphasis on character building for their students.
Brownsburg East Middle School
Students at Brownsburg East not only get a success-driven education, but there are plenty of academic activities to keep students engaged. When students are not engaged in their rigorous studies, Brownsburg East students have several athletics to choose from as well.
Brownsburg West Middle School
Brownsburg West Middle School is one of three middle school options in Brownsburg, opposite to Brownsburg East Middle School and nearby the alternative middle school of Brownsburg Learning Center. Brownsburg West Middle School is one of the highest-rated schools in the district, a four-star community rating, and an ‘A’ state rating.
Offering a perfectly balanced curriculum that includes athletics, extra-curricular club activities, and education amongst all vital and advantageous study subjects, grade 6 to 8 students receive an education that prepares them for high school, and further to post-secondary and the workplace.
Brownsburg Learning Center
This small learning center is located inside the Harris Education Center. It serves both Brownsburg East and Brownsburg West Middle School students. It works on the Brownsburg Middle Schools calendar, consisting of four nine-week quarters.
Brownsburg High School
Brownsburg High School is the only public high school within the school district and offers a challenging and exciting curriculum for students from Grades 9 to 12. In 2009, the school developed and constructed a secondary building on its grounds called the Senior Academy, allowing for additional space while enhancing leadership skills of the senior classes. Each student who enrolls in the Senior Academy receives a laptop and access to the private cafeteria.
The Athletics department has the colors of purple and white and goes under the title the “Brownsburg Bulldogs.” With a strong emphasis on the school’s athletics, Brownsburg High School has been the recipient of many state championships, particularly in football, baseball, basketball, and bowling. The most recent state championship was won by the school’s bowling team in 2009.
Harris Academy
Harris Academy is an alternative high school serving Brownsburg High School, offering a more specialized and smaller learning community with combined classes for grades 9/10 and 11/12. Many of these classes are self-paced.
