Webb Elementary School
This elementary school serves students from Kindergarten through 4th grade, and is known as “the home of the Spiders.” Students are encouraged to become active speakers and listeners and conduct themselves with honesty. Their curriculum gives special attention is given to math and literacy.
Union Elementary School
Kindergarten through 4th grade students benefit from the family atmosphere promoted in this small, country school that first opened in 1906. Their mascot is the Rambler, and everyone knows each other’s name in this tight-knit community. This school has also received the Four-Star School Award.
Northwood Elementary School
This mid-sized school is where students in Kindergarten through 4th grade are taught to become hard workers with compassion for others. Known as “the Owls,” this elementary school accommodates every student’s needs, whether it is general education, high-ability/gifted education, special education, students with cognitive disabilities, or autism programming and support. Other features include a science lab, media center, and a sensory room.
Needham Elementary School
“The Bulldogs” of Needham Elementary, also a K-4 school, benefit from a spiral curriculum that is research-based. In addition to traditional field trips, there are also virtual field trips, utilizing new technology. The school grounds feature the one-room Dollen’s Schoolhouse, as well as a Butterfly Garden.
Creekside Elementary School
Student achievement and growth among the students here is so exceptional that this elementary school was named an “A” school by the Indiana Department of Education. Creekside Elementary school also received a RAMP (Recognized ACSA Model Program) award because of its excellent school counseling program.
Custer Baker Intermediate School
Students in the 5th and 6th grades attend this school and benefit from a variety of innovative programs. The Creative Productions class is an exploratory class in which students from both grades can improve their writing skills. Student attendance initiatives for those with perfect attendance include school-wide celebrations.
Franklin Community Middle School
Seventh and eighth-graders at this school benefit from a team structure, where groups of students study under the same teachers. Each student studies technology education, physical education, digital literacy, health, and art. Electives include courses such as Finance and various aspects of Drama.
Franklin Community High School
Known as “the Grizzly Cubs,” students in Grades 9-12 can participate in a variety of challenging, yet rewarding classes and extracurricular activities. The Advanced Placement program gives students the opportunity to earn college credit in such courses as World History, Calculus, and English Language and Composition. Extracurricular sports include Football, Cross Country, Golf, Soccer, Volleyball, Cheerleading, Tennis, Basketball, Swimming, Wrestling, Baseball, Softball, and Track and Field.
