Noblesville Schools

Located northeast of Indianapolis in the heart of Hamilton County, Noblesville School District serves all of Noblesville Township students and families.  There are seven elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school in the Noblesville School District. All elementary schools within the Noblesville School District educate children from Kindergarten through Grade 5, while the middle schools offer instruction for Grades 6-8, and the high school educates students from Grades 9-12. Each school has earned an A rating from the Indiana Department of Education.

If you are relocating to Noblesville, your children could be placed in one of the following highly-rated schools:

Hazel Dell Elementary School

Starting in Kindergarten, students who attend Hazel Dell Elementary will be immersed in a world of discovery. This high-rated school offers the FOCUS program starting in Grade 3, which offers accelerated learning in the areas of reading and math. Teachers are trained to differentiate their instruction to ensure the understanding of all their students.

Hinkle Creek Elementary School

At Hinkle Creek, these K-5 students receive a highly-focused writing initiative. Writing is introduced in all core subjects, not just English class. Math, science, art, and music all incorporate various assignments requiring students to write, whether it’s writing about observations or a biography about key figures in the field.

Noble Crossing Elementary School

Noble Crossing teachers focus on math readiness and literacy, incorporating these skills into all subjects. Because students come with an array of learning styles and backgrounds, teachers here differentiate their instruction and introduce a variety of activities into their lessons to keep learning interesting. By using literacy and writing an interdisciplinary tool, school test scores reflect this in a positive way.

North Elementary School

As one of the oldest elementary schools in Noblesville, North Elementary School serves Kindergarten through 5th grade students. North students are particularly strong academically and traditionally do well on standardized testing. Teachers are able to use longer periods of time, especially in math, in order to give instruction and have time to follow up with students for additional help.

Promise Road Elementary School

Opening in 2012-2013 school year, Promise Road Elementary was established as a 21st Century school, which focuses its curriculum on Problem-Based Learning. Outside of the core subjects, students are also exposed to music, art, technology, and physical education classes as well as library time. Teachers incorporate technology into their classrooms in order to reach students of all learning styles.

Stony Creek Elementary School

At Stony Creek, their rigorous curriculum reflects Indiana’s Academic Standards.  These K-5 students (along with the other elementary schools) participate in a math program called Everyday Mathematics which focuses on computation practice. This school has also started using a program called Read Up; partnering with the United Way, trained volunteers will give one-on-one reading help several times per week to students who are not meeting literacy goals.

White River Elementary School

White River Elementary students (Grades K-5) get the added benefit of having technology used in the classroom not only for core subjects, but in other aspects as well. Music and art utilize technology as well as the media center. Teachers and staff teach students early on the fundamentals of research and finding answers, skills that will carry them throughout their academic careers and beyond.

Noblesville East Middle School

As the educational home to Grades 6-8 students, Noblesville East Middle School is a well-reputed institution known for its advancements in curriculum and extracurricular activities. Centered around a program built on interdisciplinary teaming, teachers are better able to achieve a sense of teamwork and progressive conversations.

Noblesville West Middle School

Wellness and diversified arts courses are a core component of the curriculum offered at both Noblesville West and East Middle Schools. Noblesville West Middle School also offers after school enrichment programs to Grades 7-8 students, who can opt to participate in the choir, jazz band, yearbook, or studio announcements. Students can also opt to take after school time in study hall, where they can acquire additional help from teachers.

Noblesville High School

There are nearly 30 courses offered at Noblesville High School, which boasts an impressive faculty and a wide variety of elective courses within the technology, business, art, and performing arts fields. The J. Everett Light Career Center offers an additional roster of vocation-focused courses to prepare students for post-secondary education and the workplace. With laptop or iPad-equipped science rooms, a video production studio, electronic music courses, and five computer labs, technology is utilized at the forefront of the school’s learning goals.

Athletics is also a large component of the school’s atmosphere, with several different sports offered to students including cross country, soccer, tennis, football, golf, volleyball, cheerleading, dance teams, swimming and diving, gymnastics, basketball, wrestling, baseball, lacrosse, track and field, and softball.

Noblesville High School has long consisted of two separate, age-defined buildings: the Freshman building is the campus for Grade 9 students, and the Main Campus is for Grades 10-12. The recent change incorporates the two buildings together in an expanded building, whereby Noblesville East Middle School moved to the previous Freshman building.
