Southsiders are probably familiar with Freedom Springs, a huge outdoor waterpark in Greenwood. This water park is open every single day of the summer between Memorial Day and Labor Day. During weekdays and Saturdays, the gates open at 11:00 am for a fun-filled day. On Sundays, the park opens at noon. At this waterpark, guests can relax in the lazy river, seek thrills on one of several waterslides or lay out under the park’s cabanas. Guests should consider hitting up the park on Thursdays. Called “Thrilling Thursdays,” the waterpark is open until 10:00 pm. Adults can enjoy this park for $10.00, and admission for kids is just $8.00. Greenwood residents, seniors and members of the military receive a small admission discount.
