A Message from the F.C. Tucker Company

Industries of all kinds are coming together to call for greater equality. The real estate industry and the F.C. Tucker Company are no different. We are horrified by the killing of George Floyd and those who came before him. As an industry, our response is already unified by a Code we live, but we are reminded that we are called today to dig deeper, work harder and step up our resolve to uphold that Code for housing equality.

This industry is made up of professionals accountable for fair treatment. REALTORS® are community-minded people who serve the public and adhere to the spirit and law of Fair Housing; an act created on the principle that everyone should have an equal opportunity to seek a place to live, without being afraid of discrimination.
These protections were only codified during some of our lifetimes. Segregation and unfair housing practices have lingering effects still visible in our cities today. REALTORS® are called to, required to, and held accountable for fighting housing discrimination.

Additionally, all REALTORS® are called to adhere to a comprehensive Code of Ethics and participate in mandatory Code of Ethics training every three years. Article 10 of the Code of Ethics makes it abundantly clear that there is no place for racism in housing: REALTORS® shall not deny equal professional services to any person for reasons of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, national origin, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
