Easter weekend is just around the corner, and Indianapolis residents are already looking forward to all of the family-friendly events in the area.
Whether you’re looking for a place to get brunch with your whole brood or you want to track down an Easter egg hunt for your little ones, the guide below can help you get your plans in place — because there’s always something new and exciting happening in Indy.

Easter Egg Hunt at Bishop Chatard High School
Children of all ages are invited to bring their Easter baskets and collect eggs at the BCHS Easter Egg Hunt, held on the grounds of BCHS on Sat., April 3. You’ll even have an opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny! The Easter Egg hunt begins promptly at 9 a.m., and masks are required at all times for everyone older than 2 years of age.
Easter Egg 5K at Historic Military Park
The Easter Egg 5k Run/Walk returns to Historic Military Park on Sat., April 3 at 10 a.m., and this time, it’s not just for kids! After the 5K, enjoy an egg hunt for kids and adults (some eggs will have raffle tickets for prizes). 5K finishers receive a medal, a beer or soda, and some hoppy swag.
Breakfast with The Bunny at Conner Prairie
On April 3, start your day with a delicious breakfast at Conner Prairie. After breakfast, kids can take photos with the Easter Bunny (Remember to bring your own camera to capture the moment!), have storytime with Mother Goose and enjoy the tubing hill. Each family will have their own picnic table to promote social distancing.
Seating times are available between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. The cost is $19.99 for anyone 13 years of age and older, $15.99 for children between two and 12 years of age. Members save $3.00 on registration.
Easter Egg Hunt at First Christian Church, Noblesville
Can’t make it to an event this weekend? No problem! Noblesville’s Best Summer Camp & After School will be hosting their annual Easter egg hunt on Sat., April 11 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. This event is free to the public and will feature scheduled egg hunts by age, games, prizes, basket contest and Easter eggs!
Egg Tent-astic in Whitestown at Main Street Park
You’ve heard of “trunk or treat” for Halloween? Well, this works pretty much the same way, only parents and kids are invited to travel from tent to tent to collect piles of Easter candy treats. The Easter Bunny will also be present for photo ops — although social distancing is still required.
This is a free event at Main Street Park and vendors will have promotional materials available for their business but they will not be selling anything. The party is on April 3 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. and welcomes all (masks required).
Operation Egg Hunt at Franklin Parks
Join the Franklin Parks and Recreation Department for a public Easter Egg Hunt on Sat., April 3, at 10 a.m. at Province Park near the Sunset Shelter. This event is entirely free for kids between two and 10 years of age. Masks are still required, but Strawberry the Bunny is a happily-anticipated feature of the day.
Easter Scramble at Talon Stream Park, Plainfield
Join the Plainfield Parks & Recreation Department for this egg-cellent event on Sat., April 3 at 11:30 a.m.! Grab your Easter baskets and little bunnies and hop over to the Talon Stream Park. Fill your baskets with candy as you hop from car to car to gather your eggs and don’t forget to get your picture taken at their photo op station!
Easter Brunch at Clifty Inn, Clifty Falls State Park
If Easter egg hunts and visits with the Easter Bunny aren’t really your thing, but you enjoy good food and family time, why not take a drive to scenic Clifty Falls State Park for the day?
On April 4, you can bask in the beauty of the natural environment all around you and feast on a five-course meal with delights like baked ham, fried chicken, strawberry feta salad and peanut butter pie — complete with chocolate syrup! Reservations are required, and seating is at 11 a.m., 12 p.m., and 2 p.m. The cost is $26.99 for anyone 11 years of age and older, $13.99 for children between four and 10 years of age, and free for the littlest ones.
Easter Green Box for Dinner-to-Go by Seasons 52
Maybe you want a quiet family brunch or dinner, but the hassle of actually making the whole meal seems overwhelming. If so, Seasons 52 in Indy is ready to come to your rescue!
You can order their warm-and-serve Easter meals for 2-6 people just a day in advance and pick them up on April 2 or April 3 to take home. Each meal includes an apricot-glazed spiral ham, your choice of cedar-roasted salmon or wood-grilled beef tenderloins, salad and sides, along with complimentary “mini indulgences” for dessert.
