Indy Salon & Spas

With all the stresses of modern-day life, it is easy to feel overwhelmed, busy, and anxious.  Many people have turned to spas as a place to recharge and relax. Below we have listed a few spas that you may enjoy in the Indianapolis area.

Evan Todd Spa & Salon

Located in the Conrad Hotel in downtown Indianapolis, this glitzy spot is sure to provide customers with needed relaxation.  Evan Todd Spa & Salon is an Aveda spa, exclusively using Aveda products. Evan Todd has even been recognized as, “one of Aveda’s Top 20 Lifestyle Salons.” It offers a multitude of services, including: facials, body treatments, massages, microdermabrasion, and hair removal.  If you are scheduling an appointment, make sure that you schedule with their Indianapolis location as they have another location in West Lafayette.

No. 7 Salon + Spa

No. 7 Salon + Spa is well known for its exceptional wedding services.  With well-thought out bridal packages on their website, it is not hard to see why.  In fact, they were named WeddingWire Couples’ Choice Award Winners in 2015 and 2016. This spa does not stop at weddings.  No. 7 Salon + Spa is also known for its various luxurious massages. One of their most unique massages is a pre-natal massage, “specifically designed to ease the discomforts associated with pregnancy.”

A Place to Float

A Place to Float is all about the benefits of floating.  Yes, you heard me right, floating. In their spa, they offer customers a chance to float in water filled with Epsom salts to recharge and relax.  They have six different private rooms, offering different “floating” experiences. The website touts that floating is scientifically proven to help, “relieve stress & anxiety, alleviate chronic pain, support athletic performance, and enhance creativity & mindfulness.”  Prices start at $45 for a 60-minute session.

The Art of Healing

If you were intrigued by A Place to Float, the good news is that there are more opportunities within central Indiana to float.  The Art of Healing opened in 2015 in Greenwood to offer infrared, floatation, and massage treatments all “under one roof.” While customers may be familiar with flotation and massage treatments, Full Spectrum Infrared Sauna Technology may be a new concept.  Infrared therapy services are, simply put, sauna services; however, these saunas are not the saunas of yester year. These saunas are equipped with acoustic resonance therapy and chromotherapy lights.

Studio 2000 Salon & Day Spa

One of the best kept secrets in downtown Indianapolis is Studio 2000 Salon & Day Spa.  This lauded spa, located right on Monument Circle, was designed to highlight the building’s original 1929 Art Deco designs.  In fact, “the spa has been hailed by historians and architects as the best surviving example of an original Art Deco interior in the world.”  They also have a wide variety of services with everything from hot stone therapy massages to detox soothing mud wraps.

Just writing this article makes me want to put on fuzzy socks, plug in my aromatherapy machine, and listen to calming spa music.  I don’t know about you, but I am ready for a relaxing day of pampering!
