Small Business Saturday: Broad Ripple Style

If you are anything like me, you love supporting local business.  There is nothing better than knowing that your money is cycling back to your local community.  Small Business Saturday is coming up on November 24th and we at F.C. Tucker are excited.  

While there are many wonderful communities running Small Business Saturday deals, we decided to focus on Broad Ripple as it is pretty much the leader in Indy when it comes to small businesses.  Without further ado, here are some tips and tricks that you need to know about shopping in Broad Ripple on Small Business Saturday:

• Be sure to stop at Broad Ripple Village Association (BRVA) at 818 Broad Ripple Avenue first on Saturday.  BRVA is giving away reusable American Express canvas bags filled with special offers and coupons to the first 100 shoppers.  Talk about an exciting way to start the morning!
• On Small Business Saturday there will be three new pop up shops.  One will feature “beer and wine,” one will be called “sips and bites,” and the last one will highlight a “holiday-themed art exhibition curated by Primary Colours.”
• Believe it or not Santa will be there on Saturday taking pictures with all the kiddos from 1-5pm.  Don’t worry about money because the photos are free, courtesy of Thompson Home Sales. You can find Santa at 803 Broad Ripple Avenue.  
• Speaking of Christmas, Broad Ripple knows how to celebrate the holiday season in style.  The night of Small Business Saturday, all of Broad Ripple’s holiday lights will come on at dusk. What a great way to start the Christmas Season!
• Impress your friends with your Broad Ripple knowledge!  Broad Ripple is home to 700 small businesses. Who knew it was that many?
