Brownsburg is ten miles from metropolitan Indianapolis. I-74 crosses the northern part of Brownsburg before entering Indianapolis. I-65 passes about two miles northeast of the community, and I-70 about ten miles to the south. State Road 267 (Green Street) runs north and south through the middle of Brownsburg. US-136 (Main Street) runs east and west along the southern half of the town.

More than 200 vendors sell everything from quilts to homemade soap at the festival. Hauntsburg is another annual event.
