Why I Love Being a Realtor: "My love for real estate started at a young age and at twenty-one years old I purchased my first property. I have always seen the value in investing in real estate for long-term wealth and financial stability. I really enjoy helping people who are relocating to the area. Being a transplant myself, I know that finding the right home is just one piece of the puzzle when you are in a new city. I love helping my clients get connected to the community as well. I love the real estate profession and it shows through in my work and the relationships that I have with my clients."
Mari Walker - Licensed Partner, Broker, REALTOR, Accredited Staging Professional
Mari became a licensed REALTOR in 2006 and joined F.C. Tucker in 2009. She is an Accredited Staging Professional (ASP), Associate Broker and was a 2009 Top 10 Rookie.
Mari was a Publishing Manager for 25 years prior to joining Tucker, managing 60 people/3 shifts on crazy deadlines. She decided to become a Realtor because almost everything she did revolved around housing (schooling included Architectural Engineering and Interior Design). Mari's love of interior design makes her a very excellent source to make sure a home for sale looks its best and sells fast. She has wonderful spunk, high energy and dedication to make a deal come together. Because of her previous self-experience, it is extremely important to her to make sure her clients understand the whole buying/selling process and all that goes along with it.
For Vikki, helping clients buy and sell homes goes far beyond just a job; for her, it is a passion and part of her own personal life. For the past 12 years, she has actively bought and sold her own properties and brings that first-hand experience and know-how to her clients. She understands the emotion attached to selling a family home or trying to find the perfect house to raise kids, and helps her clients navigate the exciting and sometimes stressful world of real estate.
Originally from Chicago, Vikki moved to Indy in 2007 and immediately fell in love with the Circle City. She continually promotes the city’s culture, economic growth and housing diversity. As a REALTOR®, Vikki shares her passion for outstanding customer care and knowledge in the local real estate market. She holds a Bachelor’s in Education and a Master’s in Administration, both of which help her educate, navigate and motivate clients to get excited about the selling or home-buying process.
Besides real estate, Vikki’s other passions include reading, cooking, planning parties and refurbishing antique furniture. She’s also a devoted wife, mother, philanthropist and executive board member for several local organizations.
Karen Piehl - Team Member, Transaction Coordinator
Why I Love What I Do: "The real estate industry is exciting and challenging. I love being able to be creative and use my talent to help people. A lot of times a home sits on the market because potential buyers just do not know about it, or it can be a really great home but the advertising [photos and video] look awful. I challenge myself using website and social media platforms to make sure a listing looks amazing and gets as much exposure as possible."
Lindsey Thompson - Team Member, Marketing Coordinator
After earning her Bachelor of Science in Journalism-Public Relations from Ohio University, with minors in Business and Sociology, Lindsey started her career in Visitor Services at the Cincinnati Art Museum. After she and her husband made the move to Indy nearly 10 years ago, she worked as a Marketing Assistant with another Realtor for two years and fell in love with the real estate industry. For the eight years after that, she stayed at home, raising her two kids, Liesl and Gavin. During that time, she kept her professional skills sharp, taking on numerous freelance writing, marketing and event planning projects. Lindsey knows what makes a client’s social media and marketing strategies work and brings that knowledge to the Schuster Team.
Why I love what I do – "I love how social media connects us all, not only socially but also professionally. Real estate is such a fast-paced industry, making it perfect for social media. There’s a personal element to buying and selling a home and I love connecting with our buyers and sellers through social media and other marketing channels."
