Mary Jane joined both the Bloomington Board of Realtors and FC Tucker in January of 2005 and has enjoyed helping buyers and sellers in Bloomington and the surrounding areas ever since. Mary Jane served the realtor community as the 2019 President of the Board of Directors of the Bloomington Board of Realtors (BBOR). She also serves on the BBOR Government Affairs committee. In 2010, Mary Jane completed the Indiana Real Estate Leadership Academy. She previously served on the Bloomington MLS Board of Directors. Mary Jane was the 2015 Realtor of the Year for the Bloomington Board of Realtors. In 2023, she is serving as an RPAC Trustee for the state association. She’s a member of the Indiana Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. MJ has a GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) designation.

A native of Rockford, Illinois, Mary Jane attended college at DePauw University in nearby Greencastle. After college, she worked in retailing and became a handbag buyer for Chicago retailer, Marshall Field and Company.

Real estate is the perfect career choice for Mary Jane since she has moved 8 times and lived in five states: Illinois, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Iowa and Indiana. After all the moves, in 2003 MJ moved back home again to Indiana to be near family in Bedford. She enjoys the warmer winters in Southern Indiana!

Mary Jane is an avid gardener and served the Monroe County Master Gardeners as president in 2004. Life in a college town offers unique volunteer opportunities and Mary Jane has served as President of the House Corporation of the chapter house of Pi Beta Phi. She is a member of several community organizations including Tri Kappa. MJ is a member of the Community Action Committee of the Metropolitan Planning Organization.

As with many moms, MJ enjoys visiting her children – 2 sons and a daughter-in-law – who live in New York but she wishes they lived closer!

Her interest in gardening and history of moving has led her to a “Bloom where you are planted” philosophy.
