Culture and Entertainment

Like many small country towns, Remington is not without its cultural traditions, and several community events and festivals are held throughout the year such as the annual Water Towers Days Festival, which is built around its historic 1897 wood tank structure. The tank is just one of several historic sites in town, most built around its pedestrian-friendly downtown district. You'll also find a public library and two large parks in Remington. These include the Remington Community Park, which offers athletic fields and picnic areas.

For those seeking more entertainment offerings, nearby Rensselaer offers bowling, a cinema, and even community theater. St. Joseph's College also frequently hosts cultural events including theater performances and live music.

Lafayette is also just 30 minutes away, boasting a noted arts scene and featuring gorgeous walking neighborhood parks rife with historic landmarks. Primary School students attend Tri-County Elementary School, located right in Remington, conveniently off of US-24, which cuts through the center of town. The elementary school feeds into Tri-County Middle-Senior High School, located just a few miles away in Wolcott.
