On Indy’s northside, great homes on the water can be found on Lake Maxinhall Estates, Lake Clearwater and Lake Stonebridge. Also the White River welcomes motorized boats in certain areas (welcome to the White River Yacht Club) on the north side of Indy. Eagle Creek on the west side offers great, slow motor boating and is one of the largest municipal parks in the country.

For skiers and speed seekers, Geist Reservoir on Indy’s northeast side and Morse Reservoir in Noblesville are your best bets. Both host hundreds of single family homes and condos in a wide range of price points.

The Canal through Indianapolis provides a beautiful backdrop and backyard in many parts of the city. From downtown condos, urban bungalows and neighborhood homes, the canal and retention ponds offer vistas that rival any water scene.
Gone fishin’.
Nearly all newer communities feature retention ponds as part of their overall development and environmental plan. In every price range, Indianapolis area home buyers can find a well stocked pond to offer easy access to great fishing.
