Bedford Homes for Sale

Homes for Sale in Bedford, Indiana

Bedford, located about 76 miles south of Indianapolis, was established in 1825. The city was a stop on the Underground Railroad. Bedford is known as the Limestone Capital of the World because of the numerous limestone quarries that surround this city. In fact, much of the limestone used in the construction of the Washington, D.C. monuments was quarried from the Bedford area.

Bedford residents are proud of the city’s historical significance and proud of the beautiful homes that grace the city’s streets. These homes serve as an architectural digest of styles and building practices spanning close to two centuries. The Bedford Historic Review Board sponsors workshops and offers other help for homeowners who want to preserve or restore their homes. You’ll find that most of the homes in Bedford, new and old, have been well-maintained, and the improvements made to them only enhance their original features.

Our Bedford realtors would be happy to show you the wide variety of homes that can be found in the area. Give us a call to set up an appointment, and we’ll help you find your new home.
