Carmel Clay Schools

Carmel Clay is a large school district serving the area northeast of Indianapolis including Carmel. This respected district is known for very high academic standards. All schools in the district have been awarded the Exemplary rating by the State of Indiana, and Carmel Clay is one of the only school systems in Indiana to have international accreditation from the AdvancED program. Carmel Elementary School

Carmel Elementary opened in 1961 and has been a model of success ever since.  It is one of the few elementary schools to be a Title I School, which means they receive extra funding to provide additional tutoring resources to students who need it. They also provide high-ability programs for students who qualify. All students enjoy renovated classrooms, cafeteria, gym, and playgrounds.

 

Cherry Tree Elementary School

Teachers at Cherry Tree Elementary excel at teaching in a variety of ways in order to touch upon a variety of learning styles. Here, they incorporate an array of technology into their classrooms, from SMART boards to tablets as well as two fully-equipped computer labs.

 

College Wood Elementary School

Recognized as a national Blue Ribbon School and an Indiana Four-Star School, College Wood Elementary is an excellent place to be a student. At College Wood, teachers work with staff members to bring a well-rounded education to all students. The campus itself includes playgrounds, athletic fields, and an outdoor learning lab. 

 

Forest Dale Elementary School

Forest Dale underwent renovations to expand their school to include updated classrooms with state-of-the-art technology, large-group instruction rooms, a larger cafeteria, and playgrounds. This school’s diversity, which includes students from more than 20 countries, is what helps Forest Dale students prepared for learning and working in a diverse world.

 

Mohawk Trails Elementary School

Mohawk Trails students consistently score high on state standardized tests in both English and Math. The school went through a massive renovation to integrate new technology into the classrooms and to couple grades together to create a school-within-a-school to better give students the attention they need: Lower Primary (grades K-1), Upper Primary (grades 2-3), and Intermediate (grades 4-5).  

 

Orchard Park Elementary School

Orchard Park teachers and staff strive to help students start their academic careers off strong and stress the importance of hard work to reach their goals. Originally constructed in 1956, Orchard Park has had several periods of renovations to adapt the building to the needs of the students, including special classrooms for art and music, a gym, a cafeteria, two playgrounds, and implementing new technology into the classroom.

 

Prairie Trace Elementary School

As a Four-Star School, Prairie Trace Elementary spends a good deal of their time going the extra mile to make sure their students are getting the best education.  They believe in developing critical thinking skills and relating lessons learned in the classroom to real-world applications. 

 

Smoky Row Elementary School

Smoky Row Elementary has made sure they have the room to positively address student’s learning needs by adding an enhanced media center, special art and music classrooms, an Early Childhood learning center, and two computer labs. Each classroom is equipped to be able to use new technology to give teachers options on how to deliver lessons. The school is located on 15 acres, which also includes a wetlands outdoor learning lab.

 

Towne Meadow Elementary School

High ISTEP test scores and high attendance helps Towne Meadow Elementary maintain its Four-Star School status.  The school philosophy here is to turn students into life-long learners.  To do this, teachers dedicate themselves to the “Embrace, Educate, Empower” motto in their everyday lessons and interactions with their students.

 

West Clay Elementary School

West Clay Elementary is the newest elementary school in the Carmel-Clay School District and is located on the same campus with College Wood Elementary and Creekside Middle School.  At West Clay, grades are divided into smaller learning teams to make it easier for students to ask questions and get more individualized help. A variety of academic programs are in place to help all students excel.

 

Woodbrook Elementary School

Originally opened as an open-concept school in 1970, Woodbrook Elementary has been renovated to best fit students needs today. Fully-equipped computer labs (including mini computer labs in each classroom), four Kindergarten suites, a large cafeteria, an enhanced media center, special art and music classrooms are among the changes made to Woodbrook Elementary.

 

Carmel Middle School

After undergoing several changes and renovations throughout the years, Carmel Middle School now houses grades 6-8.  Teachers here not only teach their subjects, but how to apply what they learn to the real world along with critical thinking skills. This dedication is evident by being a Four-Star School.

 

Clay Middle School

Clay Middle School certainly understands what students need to succeed and understands it is serving a rapidly growing community. And like the community, it grows with it. Clay Middle School has been awarded the national Blue Ribbon School award, Indiana’s Four-Star School award as well as numerous awards for its teachers and the Athletic Director of the Year award.

 

Creekside Middle School

Creekside Middle School’s students are no stranger to success and doing well. Whether it’s in the classroom, sports, or in the arts, Creekside teachers are there to guide students to meet their goals and show them their potential.  From teacher and staff awards to students and student groups doing extremely well in statewide and national contests, they are well on their way to making a difference in the world.

 

Carmel High School

Carmel High School is located conveniently close to the heart of Carmel, sandwiched between N. Keystone Ave and 31. The high school has everything you’d expect from the last stop in a high-performing district. The high school maintains high academic standards that will prepare students for college and beyond.
