Hamilton Southeastern

Hamilton Southeastern School District is the governing school system for the areas of Fishers and the surrounding portions of Noblesville, Indiana and is the fifth largest school district in the state. These schools are known to be very highly rated: twelve of the total eighteen schools in the district have a four-star rating.

Hamilton Southeastern schools are divided amongst four different age groups: the elementary schools are for Kindergarten to Grade 4, intermediate schools educate Grades 5-6, junior high schools are for Grades 7-8, and high schools offer curriculum for Grades 9-12. Cumberland Road Elementary School

Cumberland Road Elementary offers exceptional education from pre-K through 4th grade.  Teachers are dedicated to teaching the core subjects with emphasis on literacy and math readiness, integrating music, art, and technology into their curriculum as well.  Activities such as 4th grade choir, 4th grade track team, math bowl, spell bowl, and music programs are available as well.

 

Fall Creek Elementary School

At Fall Creek Elementary, teachers encourage students to work together to inspire them to become life-long learners.  Students are taught responsibility and self-motivation not only in their academics but in club activities as well.

 

Fishers Elementary School

Fishers Elementary has been a the Four-Star School since 1995, scoring in the top 11 percent on ISTEP scores.  Teachers and staff have high expectations for their students and aim to guide them to be well-rounded individuals. Fishers Elementary students also have the opportunity to join the Math Bowl, Spell Bowl, Yearbook Club, and Student Council.

 

Geist Elementary School

This excellent elementary school focuses on the whole child and offers a nurturing environment for children to learn. Geist Elementary teachers work with other support staff to best meet each student’s individual educational needs, and programs for both resource students and high-ability students are available. Students have the opportunity to join in school activities such as 3rd & 4th Grade Choir, Math Bowl, Spell Bowl, Yearbook Club, and Mad Scientist Mondays.

 

Harrison Parkway Elementary School

Harrison Parkway Elementary has been a Four-Star School almost every year since it opened for the 1998-1999 school year.  This K-4 elementary school has highly-trained teachers who understand that each student learns at their own pace and in their own way. Students here have plenty of activities to join as well: 4th grade track team, chess club, choir, Math Bowl, Science Bowl, Spell Bowl and more.

 

Hoosier Road Elementary School

Teachers at Hoosier Road Elementary not just teach academics; they also develop the social, emotional, and physical needs of the students as well. Students are geared to be life learners here.  Giving back to the community is encouraged by raising money for different causes and connecting students to real-world applications of what they learned in the classroom.

 

New Britton Elementary School

This K-4 elementary school has a wonderful staff dedicated to providing a caring and nurturing environment where your kids will attend. With a strong focus on literacy and math readiness, New Britton students also have fun activities such as science fairs and book fairs.

 

Sand Creek Elementary School

Sand Creek teachers and staff understand the importance of differentiating their instruction to better reach students of all learning styles. School activities, such as 4th grade choir, culture club, math bowl, spell bowl, and 4th grade track, get students involved in their studies and in their school community. 

 

Thorpe Creek Elementary School

Students here at Thorpe Creek Elementary learn not only the core subjects, but also art, music, and physical education.  There is also a dedicated staff who work with student who need a little extra help, speech therapy, or are ENL students. Thorpe Creek students also have the opportunity to join in clubs and other activities such as chess club, take Spanish lessons, or join in Engineering for Kids.

 

Durbin Elementary School

At Durbin Elementary, teachers and staff believe that all children are capable of learning and doing well. Parent involvement is the key to their success, and the school works to keep these lines of communication open. Although reading and math are the focal point, creating well-rounded students is priority.

 

Brooks School Elementary School

With an intense focus on academic achievement and a technologically-advanced classroom system, students from Grade 2 to Grade 4 participate in the BYOD (bring your own device) program that allows students to become immersed in technology and group learning. Extracurricular activities include science clubs, parent’s nights, spell bowls, Spanish lessons, and volleyball club.

 

Lantern Road Elementary School

With a great student-to-teacher ratio of around 20:1, Lantern Road Elementary is a popular public elementary school choice in the area. Popular extracurricular activities like Theatre Drama, Painting, and Chorus encourage students to develop creativity and individuality.

 

Riverside Intermediate School

Best suited for students who entertain a thirst for excitement, learning, and activities, Riverside Intermediate School offers the best of all of these. With extracurricular activities and events to punctuate the school year with excitement, students can participate in a variety of activities: choir, cross country, drum club, Healthy Hawks club, the school musical, the Science Bowl, Travel Basketball, and more.

 

Fall Creek Intermediate School

Housing Grades 5-6, Fall Creek Intermediate is the perfect transition between elementary and junior high school.  Teachers bring classroom lessons together with real-world applications by use of bringing new technology into the classroom. Numerous clubs and sports are available to students here to.

 

Sand Creek Intermediate School

Sand Creek has been recognized as both a Four-Star School by the State of Indiana but as a Blue Ribbon School by the US Department of Education as well. Technology is incorporated into the classroom as a means of reaching students of all learning styles.

 

Riverside Junior High School

Like its sister school, Riverside Intermediate, Riverside Junior High is a sought-after school among students and teachers who place an emphasis on sports and activities, also offering a strong curriculum in this area. The athletics department includes boys and girls teams of basketball, golf, cheerleading, cross country, football, tennis, track, volleyball, and wrestling.

 

Fishers Junior High School

Fishers Junior High, housing Grades 7-8, has high expectations for all of its students. Their commitment to education means they aim to create well-rounded students, using technology to help students make the connection between academics and real-world applications. Students also have the opportunities to join various athletic teams, as well as band, choir, winter guard, and other clubs and activities such as the school talent show.

 

Hamilton Southeastern Junior High School

Teachers at Hamilton Southeastern Junior High know what students need to succeed. In this technology-based Grades 7-8 school, students combine what they learn in the classroom with athletics and a plethora of clubs in order to create students who will be ready for the challenges of high school.

 

Fishers High School

At the “Home of the Tigers,” Fishers High School (Grades 9-12) aims to make life-long learners out of its students, so they will continue to grow and change long after they have graduated. Fishers High School is known for its excellent academics and its strong use of technology in the classroom. Its extensive sports teams such as baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track, volleyball, and wrestling bring students together and give the students a sense of school pride. There are a plethora of clubs and activities to meet everyone’s interests.

 

Hamilton Southeastern Freshman Center

Considered part of Hamilton Southeastern High School, this building is dedicated for just the Freshman students. This school district scored in the Top 5 school districts in the state based on ISTEP scores. It was also awarded as a Blue Ribbon School by the US Department of Education. Students here get individualized help with their work and making the transition between junior high and high school, but they still have the same opportunities for athletics, academic activities, and social clubs by joining with the main HSE High School campus.

 

Hamilton Southeastern High School

Hamilton Southeastern High School (Grades 10-12) is a Four-Star School and is also a Blue Ribbon public high school. Remaining true to its mission statement, “promote respect, foster pride, inspire excellence,” HSE High School was given a silver medal by the U.S. News & World Report magazine in 2008 and 2009.

Perhaps due to its traditional curriculum and schedule paired with a unique Student Mentor and Resource Time (SMaRT) once per week, HSE High School was named a Indiana Chamber of Commerce Best Buy School annually from 1999 to 2008. The performing arts center is a focus at the high school with four bands, three orchestras, and five choirs; they were also state champions of the Indiana State School Music Association in 2000.

Hamilton Southeastern has many competitive sports teams to join: baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track, volleyball, and wrestling.  Students, staff, and the community enjoy coming out to back their home team.
